I’m Rocio, the blonde! Pronounced (Roe-see-oh,) just to help you guys out. To much surprise, when people see my blonde hair, they never guess that I am actually Cuban-Lebanese! Growing up, it seemed really difficult for stylists to work with my hair. I’m sure many of you out there can relate. No matter what texture or length we have, most of us constantly get frustrated with our reality and don’t appreciate the true beauty we possess. This inspired me to make a shift in the industry.
Whether my guests’ hair is thick or thin, dark or light, virgin or has been around the block, I am confident that I can deliver their desired looks. Creating fashion-forward (yet natural-looking) color while maintaining the integrity of the hair has always been what I am most passionate about, what I take pride in, and what I am known for – and it goes without saying, “blonding” has a special place in my heart.
Over the length of my career, I was determined to keep up with modern trends and techniques pertaining to color and styling so that I could better service my guests. I became a Certified Redken Colorist and Redken Artist in order to challenge myself, continue to learn, and share my knowledge with others. Although my career as a hair stylist began over 10 years ago, I realize the education aspect is ongoing – and I never want to stop learning and mastering my craft.
What began as my own personal insecurity, soon transformed into my greatest passion. There is no denying it; my happy place is behind the chair. And that final glance I see when a guest looks in the mirror is priceless. It is the reason I do what I do.
